Lakes —

Sikome Lake in Fish Creek Provincial Park is an extensive artificial lake and a part of the Bow River basin. The lake is open to the public from June to September each year. As a resident of Deer Ridge, you are just a few kilometers from the lake. The lake is the ideal spot for swimming or just picnicking in the area.

Developer/builder/history

The Land on which Deer Ridge stands was annexed to the city of Calgary in 1961. It was a part of the second-largest annexation to the city that year. The community was established in 1973, and development began in 1978. The community is represented by the Ward 14 Councillor in the Calgary City Council.
