The community of Evergreen is relatively new. The older Evergreen Estates was developed in the early 90s. Evergreen Estates and Evergreen have separate community associations. Any street with Evergreen in its name belongs to the Shawnee-Evergreen Community Association with the neighbouring Shawnee Slopes Community. The other streets are members of the Calgary Evergreen Community Association.
