Ogden was established in 1912, named after I.G. Ogden, the former V.P. for the Canadian Pacific Railway and includes the districts of Lynnwood and Millican Estates. Ogden / Lynnwood is Calgary's oldest residential real estate district. With the construction of the Ogden Shops in 1912-1913 the area gained the distinction of being the only Canadian Pacific Railway (CPR) repair shop between Winnipeg and Vancouver.
