Sarsfield Real Estate Overview

Real estate in Sarsfield in mainly made up of old-age traditional-style, single-family homes.  This community, located in between the communities of Cumberland and Sars, is part of the rural Ottawa is rich in history.  Sarsfield defines the term “village” with classic charm and a conventional lifestyle.  This tight-knit community may not offer everything, but it does offer a little bit of many things.   It has a hardware store, community centre, corner store, Catholic church, tractor dealership, financial institution and a recreational park. This neighbourhood is mainly made up of 19th century French-Canadians from Lower Canada.  The village was formerly known as Daoust’s Corner because of the influence of the church constructed by Severe D’Aoust.  It later changed its name after an Irish hero, Patrick Sarsfiled because an Irishman opened a Post office in 1874.  Charming, and somewhat quaint, Sarsfield homes for sale still offer more contemporary acreage homes in a quiet setting.  Overall, Sarsfield is great place for peace, serenity and old-age charm.
