Which is the best restaurant in Southwood?
Modern Ocean Seafood & Oyster Bar is a seafood restaurant that offers much more than great food. If you love oysters, the restaurant provides half-price oysters from 5 to 6 pm from Tuesday to Sunday. The restaurant also has some phenomenal steaks, excellent wine, and fast service. The restaurant is a bit on the expensive side but is definitely worth it. Modern Ocean is located on Southport Road SW.

How long does it take to get to the airport?
Calgary International Airport, commonly referred to as YYC, is less than 33 kilometers from Southwood. It will take approximately 24 minutes to get to the airport via the fastest route – via AB-2 N. Another route is via AB-8 E and AB-2N, which is slightly shorter but will take you longer to get there. The shortest route is via Blackfoot Trail SE N and AB-2 N, but it will take you about five minutes longer to reach the airport.

How do I get around – public transportation, etc.?
Southwood is a very walkable neighbourhood, but you will require a car to complete most errands. The community is connected to a very reliable public transport system. At least 13 bus lines are passing through Southwood.
The closest LRTs are Anderson CTrain Station and Southland CTrain Station, less than a kilometer away. Other nearby LRT stations include Canyon Meadows, Heritage, and Fish Creek – Lacombe CTrain Stations.
