Wildwood is a well-established neighbourhood in Calgary's southwest quadrant. It’s one of the older communities in the area and has been around much longer than some of the newer ones such as West Springs. Wildwood was first settled in 1883 and developed by the city in the 1950’s. Wildwood is situated on a plateau overlooking the Bow River. It is also next to the Edworthy Park that was named after Edworthy, one of Calgary's first residents.
