Overview of the Summerlea Real Estate Subdivision
Summerlea has a very unique composition when compared to the makeup of the rest of the city. "Half residential and half shopping-centre" is not a title that this neighbourhood shares with any other community in the city. Note, that doesn't mean there are multiple commercial areas that take up half the land in the area. The monstrous West Edmonton Mall occupies the lower half of the subdivision, and is one of the largest indoor amenity-centres in North America, and definitely the biggest in the city.
