Community Established in 1990
Developed in the 1990's Carter Crest is a young community by local standards, and like most young communities in the city it has a much larger emphasis on single-family housing units than it does on duplexes or condominiums. To ease the control of traffic through the area and try to prevent unnecessary outside traffic passing through, Carter Crest has many cul-de-sacs and looping streets. The neighbourhood is currently not home to any sort of commercial space, but easy access to Terwillegar Drive means that residents can still get to shopping centres and other amenities with relative ease.
