Amenities in Hamptons — Live, Work, & Play

Living in an exclusive golf community has its perks! As a Hampton resident, you're never far from a Home Depot, a golf course, park or playing field.

Golf —

Golf communities are the intersection of luxury and leisure. They're coveted by buyers that aspire to make their favourite sport the centre of their lifestyle.

Hamptons is synonymous with top-class golf. The Hamptons Golf Club meanders through the community, affording residents views of the immaculately kept greens, sparkling ponds and wildlife.

Calling the golf club one-of-a-kind wouldn't be an exaggeration. The Bill Newis-designed golf club is set amidst a picturesque natural landscape and has trees and water features on 7 of 18 holes. The 18th hole wraps around the water and ensures a challenging finish for golfers of all abilities. EZ Go carts make light work of traversing the golf course. In case of inclement weather, you can make your way across interlocking brick cart paths.

The clubhouse and patio are inviting, with fire tables and lounges overlooking the course. On-site, there are locker rooms, a board room, a pro shop and club storage. Hamptons Golf Club is the only golf course in Calgary to offer an aquatic range. It offers an exciting opportunity to practice your swing waterside.

You also have the option to practice at the club's studio featuring aboutGolf simulators. The club's staff walks you through set-up and provides assistance, tips and swing data to enhance your experience and help you improve your game.

Shopping —

Hamptons has its very own shopping plaza that offers a variety of services like a Calgary Co-op grocery store and medical clinics.

Beacon Hill shopping district is a short drive from the neighbourhood. It has a variety of small shops and big-box stores and is anchored by Costco, Home Depot and Canadian Tire. Venturing out for additional shopping opportunities is easy as the Stoney Trail to the north of the community allows easy access to the Trans Canada Highway, Queen Elizabeth Highway and Deerfoot Trail.

Recreation —

Many recreational facilities are right in your backyard, so to speak, and for the exclusive use of community members and their guests. They include an Olympic size hockey rink, ball diamonds tennis courts, soccer pitches, a paved bike path system, sheltered bleachers and a creative playground.

The bike pathways are connected to Nose Hill Park, a 12-hectare parkland with numerous hiking trails and off-leash areas. The hill is named so for its resemblance to a nose from certain locations. It offers views of the Rocky Mountains, Bow River Valley and plains to the east.

Canada's grassland prairies are an endangered ecosystem. Nose Hill Park is an example of this remaining grassland ecosystem. The plant life in the coulee is different from the species found in the grassland. The dominant species here is the Trembling Aspen, which provides shelter for the wildlife that calls the park home. They include coyotes, deer, northern pocket gophers, porcupines, Richardson's ground squirrels, and different species of mice and voles. The smaller mammals are preyed upon by the Swainson's hawks and northern harriers that fly in the skies above Nose Hill Park.

Active community association

The Hamptons Homeowners Association (HHOA) maintains the community assets and collects a fee for their upkeep and improvement. An annual HOA fee goes towards beautifying the flower beds, grass cutting, watering and weeding, and keeping the rinks, courts and playground in good shape. The homeowner's association organizes an annual community clean-up and special events throughout the year, such as garage sales, garbage and shredding events and the annual Stampede breakfast.
