For those who love going the traditional route on soft well-maintained rolling planes under blue skies, Wingfield Golf Club is located adjacent to Calgary International Airport. It provides golf lovers with a 27-hole layout that ranges from 5,300 to more than 7,200 yards of play. This club will soon take over as one of Calgary’s premier public golf clubs under new ownership.

Where do I get groceries?
When a new area is being developed, residents often have to depend on the neighbouring communities for their groceries, etc. Homestead’s residents will have access to some of Calgary’s best grocery-shopping destinations.
Asian Food Store is less than a 15-minute drive and in the community of Saddle Ridge.
CHALO FreshCo Saddletowne is an all-in-one grocery store that is incredibly fantastic for South Asian ingredients.
Fruiticana is an Indian grocery store on Saddletowne Cir NE.
Sanjha Punjab is a major Indian grocery store on 64 Ave NE that is always stocked with everything you might need on a busy weeknight. The staff here are friendly.
Real Canadian Superstore is about a 12-minute drive along McKnight Blvd NE, Castleridge. The store offers in-store shopping and curbside pickup, and you will even have the option of getting your groceries delivered to you.

How far is Homestead from the airport?
Calgary International Airport, or YYC as more commonly referred to, is just a 19-minute drive via 96 Avenue NE/Airport Trl NE W. Distance-wise, it is approximately 15.5 km to the airport.
If you take the route via 100 St NE/Range Rd 285 and 96 Avenue NE/Airport Trl NE W, it will take about 21 minutes (17.2 km) to get to the airport.
Via AB-201 N, the distance is 28.6 km or 23 minutes.

Which is the closest hospital?
In the city's northeast quadrant, Peter Lougheed Centre (PLC) is a 15-minute drive from Homestead. Once a small facility linked to the Calgary General Hospital, today it is a massive, 600-bed hospital. Which is the nearest Rec Centre?
Village Square Leisure Centre is 5.5 acres of sheer fun for the entire family. This indoor leisure centre is located in the community of Pineridge and is just a 15-minute drive from Homestead. The rec centre boasts a fantastic indoor water park with waterslides, a wave pool, steam room, rope swings, and a dive tank.
