Ledbury Park used to be primarily agricultural land, and you can see the lush remnants of the original green cover here even today. Right until the early 1900s, this was a farming community. Alfred St. Germain, the publisher of the old Toronto Evening Journal, owned the area north of Woburn Avenue, known as Ledbury. Later, in 1922, this property was subdivided by the Melrose Realty Company.
