Located conveniently by the Don Valley Parkway, Regent Park is bounded by Gerrard Street on the North, Parliament Street on the West, Queen Street on the South, and River Street on the East and built in the 1950s as a housing project. The buildings aged and deteriorated, paving the way for demolishing and rebuilding Regent Park in 2000. The revitalization of Regent Park was funded by the federal, provincial, and municipal governments.

Regent Park is a desirable place to live in Toronto. The face of the neighbourhood is changing to an urban downtown community, thanks to the revitalization. The promising new Regent Park Community Centre is the hub of this neighbourhood that includes a teaching kitchen, meeting rooms, community hall, an employment centre, and a rooftop garden.

A 6-acre park featuring a splash pad, kids play area, greenhouse and public open space is located at the heart of the neighbourhood adjacent to the modern, bright Regent Park Aquatic Center. The Regent Park Aquatic Centre is a high-tech centre which features a therapy pool, leisure pool, lap pool, dividing board, waterslide, Tarzan rope, and a sun terrace. The Athletic Grounds in Regent Park house a soccer field, basketball court and an ice rink, which is located on the south side of Dundas.

Regent Park is a community that has a lot to offer, from new and beautiful housing units to space for new business. It is a land of opportunities for those looking to start a new business as commercial development is still progressing.

There are a couple of restaurants and an art gallery along Dundas, and a few shops, cafes, and eateries on Gerrard, River and Parliament. As Regent park is near the St. Lawrence Market, residents can enjoy some delicious delicacies there.
