Swansea Real Estate Overview

Surrounding communities might be of interest as well:

Swansea has Humber Bay to its South, Humber River forms its western boundary, and the community of High Park the East. On the north side, Bloor Street West forms the border for this neighbourhood. Interestingly, Swansea is the only neighbourhood in Toronto to have a Townhall that is run by the community.

The location has historical significance, as well. The mouth of the Humber River was the southern end of the pathway the First Nations people traversed when they moved from Lake Ontario to Lake Huron. Swansea became a village in the year 1926. Later on, in 1967, it was annexed into the City of Toronto.

Who Lives in Swansea Homes

There is a minority representation in Swansea and the most common non- Canadians you will come across are Eastern Europeans. Except to hear Polish being spoken in some parts and also Ukrainian and Serbian here, apart from English.

Swansea Homes Are Perfect For

Swansea Homes Are Not So Perfect For

If you are looking for a starter home, this may not be the right spot to start searching. Also, if you wish to enjoy the buzz and hype of the city’s center, the relative peaceful lifestyle in Swansea may put you off.
