Golf —

Cambrian Heights' golf lovers have the luxury of staying close to several golf courses. Confederation Park Golf Course is a nine-hole, par-three public golf course and the closest. The course offers country skiing in winter and hosts the Lions Club Christmas Lights Display through the Christmas season.

If you are willing to drive a bit farther, you will find Silver Springs Golf & Country Club on Varsity Estate Drive NW. This is a championship par 72 golf course and one of the finest in its category.

One of the attractions of living in Cambrian Heights is its green open spaces, pathways, and large parks. Two of Calgary's finest parks – Confederation Park and Nose Hill Park, are minutes away from the neighbourhood.

Confederation Park is one of the area's largest parks, covering over 400 acres. It's a clean, well-maintained urban park with gigantic trees, offering visitors a wide range of activities. Winter sports like cross country skiing and sledding are popular here as the park sits on an elevated area. In summer, visitors use the tennis courts, picnic tables, ball diamonds, BBQ facilities, cycling paths, and hiking trails. It's a park for the entire family. A running brook makes for an ideal spot to spend a morning.

Nose Hill Park is a natural park and one of Calgary's most precious parks. The park is lush with native grasslands and prairie wildlife. Coyotes and deer can roam the grasslands, and several species of voles and mice are seen here. The park is home to porcupines, Richardson's ground squirrels, and pocket gophers. The park has over eight kilometres of paved walkway trails, hiking trails, and dedicated off-leash areas. Set on a hill, the park offers scenic views of The Rocky Mountains and Bow River Valley.

Cambrian Heights Park on Northmount Drive NW and Coleridge Rd NW Playground are two playgrounds for Cambrian Heights toddlers and young children.

For dogs, there is the Cambrian Heights Off-Leash Area on Cardiff Drive NW and Collingwood Off-Leash Area in neighbouring Collingwood.
