This area of real estate in Calgary was originally known as Broadcast Hill. The CFCN tower was constructed here and a name was born. Coach Hill was founded in 1979 after the lands were annexed to the city of Calgary in 1956. The community centre was also established in 1979. It is located along the Old Banff Coach Road and is flanked by a playground, soccer fields, a baseball field, and an outdoor rink.
