Bird watching enthusiasts have the opportunity to spot as many as 200 species of birds. The park is also a popular spot for wildlife spotting, being home to various amphibians, mammals and reptiles.
- Glenmore Reservoir and Dam, the main drinking water source for Calgary residents, is also a popular place for water activities that do not involve entering the lake for obvious reasons. You can fish, row, kayak or take a paddleboat on the river. Entry to the reservoir is facilitated through docks and boat launch ramps.
- Bridlewood Wetlands Park features trails, wetland, pathway, bridge, and viewing platform. It's a fun place to sight waterfowl like Mallards, Blue-winged Teal, Canvasbacks, Northern Pintails and Ruddy Ducks, and observe aquatic vegetation such as Common Cattails and Bulrushes.
