Ranchlands Real Estate — a great place in NorthWest Calgary to raise a family.
Ranchlands is a residential community in Calgary, Alberta's northwest quadrant. John Laurie Boulevard runs through it on the north, Sarcee Trail on the east, Crowchild Trail on the south, and Nose Hill Drive on the west.
The neighbourhood was established in the late 1970s as a planned town. It's a lovely tree-lined neighbourhood with rustic homes painted in earthy tones.
It's a gorgeous, mature neighbourhood with a good range of older, modest houses and townhomes. Many of the houses are fairly priced and in great condition, making this an excellent location for first-time homebuyers and investors.
Several Ranchlands residences have views of the city centre and the mountains. Tennis courts, playgrounds, athletic fields, and dog-friendly parks are just a few of the recreational options available in the neighbourhood. The Ranchlands Community Association Rink, a prominent outdoor skating rink, is located nearby.
With the newly built Crowfoot CTrain Station now operational, commuting around the town from Ranchlands is simple. Students may easily commute to and from the University of Calgary, ACAD, or SAIT, while consumers can visit the neighbouring Crowfoot Centre, which has a variety of stores, restaurants, and recreational and entertainment options.
Ranchlands has a relaxing atmosphere that would appeal to individuals who prefer being outside. There are roughly ten parks within walking distance for homeowners to discover, all of which are well-located and simple to access. Because there isn't a lot of street noise or city hubbub, most locations in this portion of Calgary are relatively quiet.
Ranchlands Real Estate Market News
Ranchlands was formerly a hunting field for aboriginals and pastureland for European settlers before becoming a real estate market. Calgary acquired the region in 1961, and it became a neighbourhood in 1977. The park in Ranchlands has a glacial rubbing stone, known as "erratic" by geologists, to remember its historical significance.
